Absent without leave!

Hi everyone!
It truly has been too long! Truth be told i have missed blogging and the natural hair community. I wish i could say that i have been trying new products, attending meet-ups etc etc. But i haven't lol. Instead i have had my hair tied back in a bun or in protective styles for the last errrr 9 months! This is because i have recently become a ....... yummy , natural MUMMY! so what the awful morning sickness, the changes to my skin, feet and boobs(!) i was a little shall we say distracted! Lol. Not to mention the changes to my HAIR! wow! Now don't get me wrong- it has grown SO much, however it took on a life of its own! My staple items did NOTHING to tame the curls! Hence the bun & single plaits.

However- I'm BACK. (whoop, whoop) my beautifully , amazing and gorgeous daughter and I are gonna be getting to know each other and whilst I'm on maternity leave I thought- let's get blogging again.

As the post title suggests- it's been a long time!
Sorry ladies.

BUT I'm BACK and currently on route to Afro Hair and beauty Show 2011.
I haven't been in years-at least 8 or 9 actually.

I will post pics, reviews etc later this evening!

My hair today

So today I'm going to get my hair put in a protective style (Single extensions).
Last night I washed my hair with the TRESemme Natural products I bought last week. (Click HERE to read post-Plus review coming soon!).

I blow-dried my hair for the 1st time this year. (I only blow-dry my hair before I put extensions in). Now I don't ever blow-dry my hair straight so it is still a little 'poofy'. I just do it as quick as possible as this means less heat, which in turns=no heat damage. I then twisted in 8 big twists, headscarf, then bed.

This morning it was too hot to put a headscarf on to head to the hairdressers so I had to do something to make it look a little more presentable!
This is what I came up with:-

Real quick style-took 5 mins! What do you think? How are you wearing your hair today?

Natural Hair Meet Up Alert- Sat 7th May 2011

Hi guys,
Great news! Recently found out that there will be a natural Hair Meetup next month.

Too good to be TRESemme!

So went out and about today. Met Mr Man for lunch (nice Thai place in Ealing, West london). Then I did a spot of shopping.
As I walked past Superdrug, I noticed a promotion in the window:

My name is Cimone and after lurking on various blogs ranging from fashion to natural hair, I decided to create my very own blog.
